Showing children that you care
In essence, the work of The Masonic Youth Welfare Fund is to encourage its young people for good citizenship and see that they obtain the advantages and opportunities they could reasonably have expected had they not suffered the setback of a parent's death, incapacity or other unfortunate circumstances.
In particular, the Fund:
- Gives them financial assistance whilst undertaking full time education;
- Provides them with reimbursement for necessary school clothes and educational expenses;
- Assists with their medical, hospital, optical and dental needs and costs;
- Pays for their further education or specialised career training;
- Maintains a close relationship with the children while they are at school or tertiary institution, examines their records, reports and results;
- Takes a keen interest in their progress, and affords them advice;
- Finds them accommodation when required.
